SIGMADAF presence at the IV International Technical Seminar
Last 30th September 2021 took place the IV International Technical Seminar: Agri-food industries water management, organized by AINIA where SIGMADAF participated for the first time as sponsor of the event, together with other important Engineering companies.
The seminar was held at the Valencia Technology Park with the aim of redesigning the productive processes of the agri-food industry, in order to reduce wastewater and consider all the liquid streams generated as a source of reuse of resources for use.
In addition, there were present representatives of the most important competent institutions related to water, such as the Public Entity of Wastewater Treatment of the Comunitat Valenciana (EPSAR), Spanish Association for the Sustainable Water Reuse (ASERSA), the Technological Platform “Food for Life-Spain”, in addition to various private companies and technology providers.
Current challenges in the water management
During the day a total of 12 presentations and some round tables were made, in which they discussed some of the current challenges of water management in the agro-industrial sector, among which were:
- Wastewater reuse within the industrial processes.
- Regeneration and reuse as part of the company's comprehensive water management.
- Recovery and revaluation of resources from waste streams.
As the main conclusion, based on the press note emitted by AINIA, the circular economy, and technological innovation are key points for sustainable water management in the food industry.
Those attending the seminar were also able to visit the technology exhibitors area, where SIGMADAF had a space to show its solutions in industrial wastewater.
