Description of supply

The water treatment specialist INOVAYA purchased from SIGMADAF the equipment needed to treat the wastewater of the Dream Cosmetics cosmetics industry located in Abidjan (Ivory Coast).

SIGMA DAF supplied the following equipment for the wastewater treatment plant:

Primary treatment equipment

A compact induced air flotation equipment model SIGMA DAF ACAF 010B, with the following basic features:

• Floating surface: 2^m2
• Material: AISI 304
• Dimensions (LxWxH): 3.200 x 1.500 x 2.000 mm
• Air supply: 6 NI/min
• Sweeping system with 0.55 kW simer
• Induced air aerator in AISI 304 (Q air supply: 6 NI/m)

Secondary treatment equipment

A SIGMA DAF SMBR 100 compact biological reactor with the following characteristics:

• Dimensions (LxWxH): 11.000 x 2.300 x 4.500 mm
• Material: Carbon steel with S3 protection
• Grill assembly with 30 EPDM plate diffusers for microbubble air
• Roots blower for air with 2kW engine
• 2 submerged flat membrane pack units (in parallel), Kubota 100^m2
• Permeate pump Q: ^5m3/h
• Automatic cleaning system included

Supply of the sewage treatment plant includes

• Engineering documentation and maintenance and operation manuals
• Electrical panel for power and control of the installation with PLC as well as electro-pneumatic panels.
• PVC/AISI 304 piping for the compact equipment supplied
• Electro-pneumatic wiring and instrumentation of the compact equipment supplied
• Supervision of assembly and start-up of the compact equipment included in the scope of supply.

Differential treatment equipment

Primary treatment with the cavitated air floater ACAF

This effluent clarification equipment is suitable for the separation of suspended solids, oils, greases and colides from wastewater. It presents a compact and functional design, being an easy equipment to install, operate and maintain, since it does not require compressors, pumps or pressure tanks to supply air to the effluent to be treated.

The cavitated air flotation system provides air in the form of micro bubbles in the wastewater inside the equipment, without the need for prior dissolution of the pressurized air. These microbubbles, once introduced into the aqueous medium, allow the separation of floatable particles and the sedimentation of solids in the same equipment. The solids that have sedimented, due to their greater weight, are collected in the phono of the equipment, and the floating ones are collected by a surface sweeping system. Both floated and settled sludge are directed to a sludge container.

SMBR biological treatment by AGUA SIGMA

Membrane bioreactors, also known as MBR systems, are aerobic activated sludge biological reactors, which combine the biological degradation process, known as "activated sludge", with solid-liquid separation by ultrafiltration with membranes, which maximize their efficiency and performance for the separation of contaminants; in addition, the unit is designed to also act as a nitrification-denitrification system, to eliminate NTK.
