New DAF systems made of polypropylene

SIGMADAF has developed a new line of dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems made of polypropylene.

This line of DAF systems has been developed at the express request of a customer, who required equipment with high chemical resistance for the pretreatment of seawater in a desalination plant.

Polypropylene has a number of advantages, which make it an ideal material for certain applications:

• High mechanical strength
• Suitable for working at high temperatures due to its high melting point
• Low moisture adsorption
• Chemical resistance to both acidic and alkaline substances
• Light material, as it is one of the plastic materials with the lowest density
• Low cost
