SIGMADAF renews its commitment to the Childhood Vaccination Alliance

Once again, SIGMADAF has collaborated with the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination, an initiative promoted by the "la Caixa" Foundation in collaboration with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal).

This program, in place since 2008, aims to ensure access to vaccines in the most disadvantaged countries, and has already vaccinated more than 11 million children in 10 countries. This figure is expected to grow by 2025.

Thanks to the joint commitment of the "la Caixa" Foundation and the Gates Foundation, the Gavi Matching Fund initiative has managed to quadruple every euro donated. Once again this year, the funds raised will be used to distribute the vaccine against pneumonia, the leading cause of infant mortality in the world, in several African countries.
