Compact DAF system with integrated physicochemical process
Our compact DAF system is delivered fully integrated with the physical-chemical process and the electrical panel. All parts are assembled and interconnected on one platform, so no additional assembly is required. These are Plug&Play DAF systems that are ready to operate from the moment they arrive at the customer's site. Our compact DAF is designed to offer high performance in the separation of contaminants, occupying the minimum space and making installation and operation as simple as possible.
Compact dissolved air flotation system
SIGMADAF manufactures compact dissolved air flotation systems, which are delivered fully assembled on a platform together with the physical-chemical treatment system. These DAF systems are ready to operate from the moment of delivery.
Unlike traditional DAFs, which require a more complex installation, compact DAFs have a robust design, which facilitates commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Before delivery of the equipment, we have carried out the FAT tests in our facilities to guarantee the perfect operation of the equipment.
It is the ideal solution for industries looking for a fast, efficient and uncomplicated wastewater treatment system. In addition, its automated operation minimizes operator intervention, ensuring simple and continuous operation.
The experience of more than 40 years in the design of wastewater treatment equipment has allowed us to develop a compact, high efficiency DAF system, which can include a coagulation-flocculation process if requested by the customer, and is delivered fully assembled and ready to operate.
Operation of a compact DAF system
Compact dissolved air flotation systems have no difference in operation compared to standard DAF equipment.
They are equipment of high operational and economical efficiency, thanks to their ease of installation and use. The user, by means of a simple operation, only has to adjust the chemical dosage and pump flow rates through a complete and intuitive control system.
The working parameters are adjusted from a PLC system with remote control option.

Technical characteristics of the DAF Compact
Our compact dissolved air flotation systems can be tailored to the specific needs of each customer without any limitations.
As with standard DAF systems, each piece of equipment is designed taking into account the volume of water to be treated, the pollutant load, discharge limits, etc.
The compact DAF system includes:
- DAF consisting of a rectangular tank, skimmer, sediment sludge extraction valve, air supply valves, pneumatic panel and recirculation pump.
- In-line flocculator - PFL for coagulation-flocculation with dosing points.
- Coagulant dosing pump.
- Caustic soda dosing pump.
- Flocculant dosing pump (polyelectrolyte).
- Flocculant preparation unit (polyelectrolyte).
- pH sensor and flow meter.
- Feed pump, slurry pump and levels.
- Skid type platform.

Compact DAF system with coagulation-flocculation tank
When necessary, the usual flocculators can be replaced by tanks in which the coagulation-flocculation process is carried out.
This substitution is recommended in industries where the wastewater to be treated contains heavy metals, which need a much longer retention time to form flocs.
As with the compact DAF systems with flocculator, all the instrumentation and the dosing system are from the SMART range, which allows the entire wastewater treatment process to be automated.
This configuration with coagulation-flocculation tank is a clear example of our ability to adapt the design of our DAF systems to the needs and objectives expressed by each customer.
